Creative Capital CEO Chris Burch has been an entrepreneur for over 40 years. Tory Burch, Jawbone, and Voss Water are just a few of the companies he’s helped moved up.
He has been interested in hospitality for many years. Five years ago, Burch acquired the Nihiwatu Resort in Indonesia. In 2016, Travel and Leisure Magazine ranked the hotel #1 in the world. Chris Burch is also working with architect Philip Stark and hotelier Philippe Stark Faena in Argentina to build the Faena Hotel.
Chris Burch also entered into a 2014 partnership with Ellen DeGeneres to launch her ED lifestyle brand. He later launched a luxury prefab home line Cocoon 9. He is also offering his support in developing other brands including Blink Health, Brad’s Raw Foods, Little Duck Organics and Chubbies.
Burch sits on a number of boards including The Pierre Hotel, Mt. Sinai Hospital, The Sumba Foundation and The China Association of Social Work, see (Chronicleweek.com).
When asked about how he up with the idea for Creative Capital, Burch saying that he always pays close attention to things around him. After experiencing success at a very young age, Burch says he decided to use his resources to help others excel, according to instagram.com.
Burch admits that sometimes you have to take risks. “You will definitely have some successes and some failures. That’s the nature of the business.”
Overall, he says he has no regrets. He does encourage to live their dreams. He says it is essential that young entrepreneurs watch and listen if they want to be successful.
